Tyler Dixon HabsInsider – Meet the Creator Behind the Blog

Hey, I’m Tyler Dixon, the writer and lifelong Canadiens fan behind HabsInsider.com.

My passion for the Montreal Canadiens started young — not in the stands, but over the phone. As a kid living across Canada from most of my family, I used to call my uncle during games and we’d watch together from different provinces. That tradition made the Habs more than a team — it made them a connection to home.

I started playing hockey at age seven and have been immersed in the sport ever since. Even off the ice, I’ve always been the kind of fan who breaks down plays, tracks prospects, and lives for trade rumors and draft-day drama.

For the past two years, I’ve been writing game recaps for a local QMJHL team, which gave me the drive to start something bigger — and that’s how HabsInsider was born. I created this blog to give other fans honest takes, stat-driven analysis, and the kind of energy only real fans bring.

If you’re curious about how I recap games, check out this post on Ivan Demidov’s Canadiens debut. And if you want official stats and league-wide info, I recommend NHL.com.

Whether you’re a casual fan or a die-hard who yells at the screen, this blog is for you.

Thanks for being here — I appreciate every view, comment, and share.
